S. K. Hamilton grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia. Although loving Florida, she’ll tell you that nowhere is closer to her heart than the green hills and valleys of her hometown. Friends, countryside, family, a wonderful childhood, all that ever was from that time and place remains embedded in her heart.
She began writing poetry in 2nd grade and much later ventured into the world of novel writing. “The love of writing runs in the family,” she says of her father and grandfather, both poets, who gave her inspiration and direction.
Sylvia has one daughter, four grandchildren, a husband, and a cat named Marble. Her favorite place in the whole world, besides West Virginia, would be a place in the sun by the ocean. Someday she’ll abide there.
